True Tears
Ah…it’s 2 AM. Nothing like eating popsicles and playing games. Just finished Assassin’s Creed. ‘Twas an awesome one. I only wished that the god damned beggars and those hobos were less fucking annoying. Doesn’t it piss you off when you fail a challenge because those fuckers keep blocking you? Anyway, I’m going to get the sequel. It seems like it’s going to take place in Italy. Guess it was too much to expect it’d be a direct follow-up of the original.
On a different note, just finished True Tears. I don’t usually watch slice of life anime, but I have to admit; this one almost reminded me of Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. True Tears was in no way a tragedy, and I think the coupling was pretty obvious right from the start. It definitely wasn’t as slow paced as School Days. You only watch that anime for the last few yandere scenes. Seriously, the entire anime was fucking slow as fuck. You just wait for the chick to slice-n-dice (lol, spoilers maybe?).
I digress, like other slice of life anime, True Tears has little comedic sense. It can, and probably will appear slow paced, but I never got that from watching it. The anime makes use of metaphoric analogies, and a lot of it is straight up symbolism. It’s nothing spectacularly mind-boggling, however, it does get annoying especially if you aren’t an ardent fan of poetic language.
All in all, good anime although you wouldn’t agree this if you hate the coupling, I suppose. Oh, and the OP, Reflectia by eufonius is awesome.
