The Girl

Madoka is Ayumu's sister-in-law. She married Kiyotaka but he disappeared soon after. She is a police woman and since Kiyotaka mentioned "Blade Children", every case she got, she'd try her best to find out more about Blade Children. I think she's a very strong woman but she does have her breaking points.

Basically her love life revolves around the Narumi brothers. Although it is clear that she married and loves Kiyotaka, Ayumu also has feelings for her. Of course, their relationship won't bloom at all (thank God) because they want to stay as in-laws. Plus, Madoka only loves Kiyotaka and since Ayumu never confesses or does anything special for her, nothing changes.

Why Madoka?

Like I've said before, it's because she is a very strong woman. I admire her because she actually continued to live and still love Kiyotaka. Her heart never changes and she concentrates on work a lot so that's good.

The Series:

Spiral Suiri no Kizuna is about a boy named Ayumu who is trying to figure out what Blade Children means. His brother, Kiyotaka, left him a note mentioning them so Ayumu wants to know more about them. He doesn't want to be chasing after his brother's shadow but they just have so many things in common. Anyway, the anime starts off with a case of suicide (or so that's what it seemed like). After this one event, Ayumu's life changes completely.
