The Guy

Satoshi is the boy who shares the same body as Krad. He was adopted as a child by Hiwatari so his last name was changed. His real last name is "Hikari". He hates Krad with passion and would always try to go against him since Krad isn't a good guy. Unlike Dark, he breaks free from Satoshi's body harshly and makes Satoshi suffer most of the time. Since he has Krad in him, he tries to stay away from others as much as possible.

Satoshi's love life? Risa, of course! He can't go with Daisuke. Why? Well, Daisuke is obviously head over heels in love with Riku already and there's just no way he can go behind them. Plus, there are a lot of hints in the manga and in the end of the anime that this couple is indeed possible!

The Girl

Risa is the younger Harada sister. Being twins with Riku, she often tries to be better than her. She and Riku are polar opposites though. Riku likes sports while Risa loves girly things. She loves Dark in the manga and anime but is rejected near the end of both. From the rejection, she suffers a lot, trying to understand why they can't be possible.

Since there's no way she can ever end up with Dark, what will become of her love life? There's always Satoshi~! He's been there for her multiple times in both the anime and manga. Their personalities are different but that's what will attract them to each other.

The Two of Them

Let's just subtract Daisuke and Dark because they're one person, they can't possibly end up with Satoshi and Risa. So, why support this couple? There are just so many reasons for this. They have the most scene time together when they're not around Daisuke and Dark, and like my title says "Because You're There". It seems like when one is in trouble the other would try to help one whenever possible. Their personalities work so well together too. It's seriously not impossible for the two to end up together.

Fan fiction writers can get the two together easily because they have chemistry, they can work. Writers don't have to make the other OOC just so one of them can fit another. Even though they might not be a canon couple, they're still a very possible couple. (For more information, visit my SxR affiliates.)

But, of course, they work very well as friends too. Even if they can't be a couple, they would make great friends. They can help each other at times when the other needs help. It doesn't always have to be romance.

Why Them?

They're just too cute together! I love the Daisuke and Riku pairing but this pairing just takes the cake. Whenever I see them together in the manga or watch them together in the anime, I just smile. =)

The Series:

DN Angel is the best anime/manga out there so just check it out if you haven't already! Anyway, it's about a boy named Daisuke who finds out on his birthday about Dark. Dark is an angel and he shares the same body as him. Whenever Daisuke feels something special around the girl he loves, he'd turn into Dark and for Dark, same. You'll also be able to see a square relationship between Daisuke, Dark, Riku and Risa. It's very cute but it gets very serious as the manga goes on.
